May his victim get the services she needs as she struggles with the repercussions of being groomed by this “man of God”.
Carl Boeder stated his regret in the manner you would expect:
- Given the chance to speak, Boeder gave a nearly two-minute-long monologue on how sorry he is for betraying his roles as a teacher, husband, father, and Christian. “I disgraced my marriage, I mocked my god,” he said. “I brought grief and trauma into the lives of many people who don’t deserve this. I brought shame into the lives of innocent people. I hate what I’ve done.” He said he has prayed for his victim and her family and is “thankful that this has brought me closer to my god.”
